How to know if India Giving Day is right for your organization
India Giving Day provides a highly visible platform for hosting your fundraising campaign along with social media marketing, campaign resources, training, over $100,000 in matching gifts and prizes, and more, to help you run a successful campaign. However, a crucial part of achieving success is mobilizing your organization's existing network of support and donor base in the U.S. that will partner with you to maximize these resources and opportunities. Without an engaged group of U.S. donors, a dedicated Board of Directors, and/or active volunteers, you are unlikely to run a successful campaign. A track record of raising funds in the U.S., and a U.S. based team, or volunteers are important elements of success. Simply creating a landing page on the IGD website and expecting people to come to you is not a viable strategy.
If it would be helpful to discuss the opportunities and basic elements of success with an India Giving Day representative, feel free to contact us at info@indiagivingday.org

Please note: In your application, you will be asked about any resolved or pending legal actions in India or the U.S. and the steps your organization has taken to address them. Your response to this question must be complete and truthful, and will influence our decision about whether to approve your organization for listing on the IGD website.
We encourage you to apply if your organization fulfills the 2 eligibility requirements and meets or exceeds most of the 4 above-mentioned ideal applicant criteria.
Organizations must submit applications by October 31, 2024. You will be notified by November 15 if your application has been accepted. Should you be accepted, the listing fee to participate is $2,000 per organization.
